The man behind the Internet Marketer's Manual is Robert Hinchcliffe, who is also the creator of the marketing blog Hinchcliffe-Online.

According to the site, Hinchcliffe began his journey as an internet marketer in around 2001, leaving his traditional employment to become a full-time caregiver for his disabled daughter.

Seeking alternative ways to bolster his modest pension, Hinchcliffe turned to online marketing, with a focus on article writing.

The Manual website was registered, in Hinchcliffe's name, in December of 2016. Hinchcliffe-Online was registered in April of that same year. The address listed is a residential neighborhood in East Sussex, England.

Hinchcliffe, before retiring, was a professional composer, music instructor, and oboe player. He also maintains a website, Hinchcliffe-Music, which acts as a professional CV and venue for marketing instructional materials.

The Manual is an 86-page e-Book that contains a series of 50 articles, exploring and providing explanations for all aspects of internet marketing.

Unlike many ClickBank marketers, Hinchcliffe does not offer an affiliate opportunity to market the Manual. The decision seems odd, considering how he's including an e-book explaining exactly how to run an affiliate campaign as a bonus.

He may have decided not to in order to keep his e-book affordable, as selling products through affiliate programs require offering affiliates a cut of the sale price. This would have led Hinchcliffe to at least double the retail price to retain his profit margin.

Internet Marketer's Manual Verdict

Hinchcliffe seems a right old bloke, based on our examination of his three websites.

His music site contains enough corroborating evidence to support his claim that he retired early to take care of a disabled daughter, and he has a prolific body of work on his blog site offering insights on internet marketing.

All of this transparency reinforces Hinchcliffe's position as an expert in his field – both in writing effective marketing copy and in playing the oboe.

Hinchcliffe's products available for sale seem to be geared for individuals who are just starting out with internet marketing.

This isn't to say that intermediate and/or advanced marketers won't be able to glean any useful insight from the Manual or the free content on his blog site – it just seems that novices will likely get the most benefit.

AliPlugin Caveats

AliPlugin sounds great, so should you buy it?  That depends.  It’s a great product, and AliPlugin creates a terrific looking Website that should be able to make money for you.  However, you need to be aware that the ecommerce market is fiercely competitive.  Not only that, but the major search engines, Google and Bing, aren’t all that crazy about ecommerce Websites that are built around affiliate programs.

aliplugin scamGoogle will see your site, crawl it, and will likely determine that you’re actually just an affiliate sending traffic to AliExpress.  That’s not necessarily a bad thing, but if you use AliPlugin straight out of the box and don’t make any modifications, you’re going to have a lot of trouble getting traffic to the site, because Google isn’t all that likely to put your site in their index, as they’ll think that people should just go to AliExpress instead.

What does this mean?  It means that in order to get AliPlugin to work and make money for you, you’re going to have to do additional work beyond what AliPlugin does for you right out of the box.  You’re going to have to promote your site like crazy using social media, for example.  You might also want to promote it using paid advertising, such as Bing Ads or Google Adwords.

Something else that can help a lot is to add a lot, and I mean a lot, of original content to your site.  While Google doesn’t like affiliate sites, the do like original content, and if you can add some good long-form (1000 words or more) content to your site that provides value to your sites visitors and is keyword-rich, you should be able to do OK with the AliPlugin.

Keep in mind, too, that you don’t have to build a store, with AliPlugin.  You can build two.  Or five.  Or a hundred.  That’s up to you, but all of the above applies – each of those sites is going to have to have a lot of content and a lot of links pointing to it from elsewhere in order to work.  If you’re willing to work at it, and you’re willing to consider that building a great ecommerce site using AliPlugin is your job, then you can be successful with it.

It’s a new month and Matthew Neer is back with a ‘new’ recycled product in the familiar form of Speed Wealth Commission System.

I’m not sure how many products Neer has launched, like a lot of these proliferate Clickbank marketers, it’s hard to keep count, and even harder to look into, as the associated domains evaporate faster than your hopes.

Still, the 5kFormula and Bing Your Ads remain, even if Operation 10K, Fan Page Cash Flow and Digital Bank Roll don’t.

Deja Vu

I’m not sure how long Matthew Neer has been pushing a variant of this same product – and it is the same product, just relabelled – but I suspect he’s never been an affiliate marketer for anything more than his own programs.

A lot of folks come into the game, sign up to Clickbank and try a bit of paid traffic… then take a look at the programs they’ve bought (or pirated copies they’ve downloaded) and come to the conclusion that the money’s to be made in selling your own product, not spending money to push anyone else’s.

I reckon Matthew Neer may well fall into that category.

With advice of this searing insight and quality, you can see why he felt his calling was as a product marketer: wisdom reminiscent of Jesus on the Mount.

It’s said Gioachino Rossini (Barber of Saville) was a notorious self-plagiariser, and if that’s so then Matthew Neer must run him a close race: you’ll note the remarkable similarities between all of Neer’s surviving programs’ sales pages.

That testimonial by Jamie Lewis for instance: it just never gets old.

But for those of you not familiar with Speed Wealth Commission System in its previous incarnations, let’s go through it again.

How You Earn Your Money

Speed Wealth is a franchise product a la MOBE etc. At least a mini-me in the same vein. It’s kind of a thing just now, and the Four Percent Group is in the same mould, too. Except Speed Wealth is a lot smaller – though with grand ambitions I’m sure.

So, the ‘system’ isn’t a hack on traffic generation or Swami mind control sales copy or even spotting and riding the wave of hot niches, it’s selling Neer’s Speed Wealth program itself as the means to generating your internet riches.

Which is what it’s interior training and marketing all revolves around on the inside. It’s why you get hosting and a sub-domain all ready made for you. And a funnel all ready written out with how great the Speed Wealth system is. You’re not getting that to then go market other Clickbank products!

So… you buy the product – and the numerous upsells –  and then you spend money on driving traffic to Neer’s product so he gets the sales and monthly subscription fee.

Is it a scam? No. That term gets bandied about a lot and even the most fly-by-night internet marketers love to point out to Google that this is “defamatory” and “please take the page down” as they do provide something for the money, they don’t just totally swindle it out of folks and disappear.

And that’s true. You do get something for your money here, and you get a cloud based piece of software that looks very nice and provides you with the training to sell the product that you’re currently logged onto.

The training to sell the training you’re working through in other words.

And you can make money with that. Some people do on all those other systems based on this business model.

Matthew Neer certainly will.

You, I’m not so sure about, even with up to 100% commissions.

Final Thoughts

Like I’ve said in the past, I’m just not a fan of these pass-the-parcel MLM-lite products, that are selling nothing but themselves as the product.

Okay this one isn’t of MOBE proportions at only $47 – plus $19.95 recurring monthly (you didn’t really think that hosting and domain were free?) – and upsells.

And those upsells come in at the region of $500. Which if you don’t buy, you may not get access to all of the goodies in the members area…

I’ve written a couple of tomes of late on other programs, but I don’t know what more I can really say on this.

There’s the phoney scarcity countdown timer that resets on each page load. There’s all the usual promises of making money on autopilot, and with seeming ease, and the usual pics of the program owner living a life that’s a cross between Hugh Hefner in his prime (RIP) and Instagram Saudi Royalty. I particularly like the cross-program repeated clip of Neer dealing out cash bills like they’re being spit off a printing press. The rest is the usual stock images of exotic locations, cars and apartments/hotels.

This could be your life too! I was ordinary once, just like you! And even more down on my luck! Let me save you – signup here!

That’ll work if you happen across the right people, at the right time in their life i.e. desperate.

The problem (well, one of the problems) with Done For You (DFY) marketing funnels is that you’re drawing on the same stock websites, landing pages and sales copy as everyone else.

That is not good SEO-wise or from the point of view of market saturation: there’s nothing to distinguish your pitch from anyone else’s. Plus all that belongs to the program, not you. When you cancel, you can’t keep any of it to use promoting something else.

As I say… I don’t know, it’s your money. Maybe I’m the one in the wrong for eschewing these things. They proliferate so much that maybe I should give in and jump up on the bandwagon too: you feel like you’re fighting a losing battle.

Affilorama: The Membership Overview

There are several levels of the Affilorama Membership and different products to choose from including the very basic entry level to more advanced options that features several plug in tools.  Unlike other programs that simply do not evolve, Affilorama is one of the better products in the industry at keeping up (although they do not do a perfect job) and within this review I am going to be walking you through the program along with the many “upsells” within this affiliate marketing product.

The Pros vs. Cons of Affilorama
Pros:

• Easy to follow educational resources including software applications
• Access to one of the largest affiliate marketing communities
• Free option allows you to explore the basics without investment
• Payment options for the Premium program includes a three year payment plan for convenience
• Owner is very well respected in the industry

Cons:

• Too many options can make choosing the right program difficult
• Basic program is quite limited compared to the paid programs
• Some blatant misinformation (and harmful) training to your business
• Program costs can become really expensive once you start adding in the additional “offerings” & upsells
• Your “support” is handed off to a support team, you don’t get to connect with Mark directly

 
What Type of Marketer is Affilorama Program Intended For?  
With several levels to choose from and training at each of them, Affilorama is meant to be employed by anyone who wants to make some extra money online as an affiliate marketer.  The training within the Affilorama is geared towards everything from the fundamental website set-up to more advanced promotional techniques.
There is no need to have prior knowledge of website building, hosting, marketing or content management. The training is based on knowledge from an experienced and very involved affiliate marketer, Mark Ling, who has a significant track record of not only just being a merchant (having affiliates) but promoting his own products and services himself (a good thing).

The Breakdown of the Training Within Affilorama

Can You Expect Support From Mark Ling Inside Affilorama?

All discussions, questions and comments can be shared within the community via forums and message boards.  Mark Ling on occassion will join in on the discussions, but you should not expect a response from him in a timely matter (if at all) if you are posting questions.  He is a very busy entrepreneur and at any given time he has MANY different projects on the go.
How Much Does Affilorama Cost?
This is where it can get a little bit confusing as Affilorama has MANY different product offerings and upsells within their program.  This is something that I usually do not agree with simply because I do believe that when you pay for a product, you should get access to EVERYTHING.    These products are quality, but they are definitely inferior and more expensive than my #1 ranked program for affiliate marketing training.
Below I am going to explain in detail what is included within the different products and outline their different price points.

Affilorama Premium ($67 per month)
The Premium membership (month to month billing at $67 per month) is the core offering at Affilorama.   This package includes training, software, limited hosting, and forum access.

Affilorama Premium Breakdown
As you can see from the above photo, the included Items are the Affiliate Training, Blog Bootcamp, Premium Tools, Website Hosting, and PLR Articles.  Although some of this training is absolutely excellent, there are some critical “training” flaws in the offering at Affilorama Premium membership that can actually adversely impact your business.
The first item is the emphasis of Link Building within the Blog Bootcamp.  In fact, 1 of the 4 bootcamp lessons is dedicated to training you about backlinking strategies.  That is 25% of the entire course.

Affilorama Backlinking Training
The second potential issue I have with the Premium package is the fact that they are promoting the idea of PLR (Private Label Rights) content (you get 30 new PLR articles every month) being worthwhile. This is also an outdated and blatantly wrong strategy that will lead you to content marketing failure.  

PLR Content at Affilorama - Bad Idea
This content is duplicate and if you even consider putting any of it on your website, you will lose all rankings.  Also, it is outsourced content meaning that it will never have the same impact that content you create will have.  PLR may have been OK back in 2010, but not this year and using it will adversely impact your business. .  NOT A GOOD THING.
And the Affilorama Premium tools…
There are also 15 tools that are available within the Premium membership, some useful and some that will provide you with meaningless data.  For example, there is an Trusted Site Tool which analzyes the Page Rank within Google (also known as PR).  PR however is an outdated metric and in no way indicates whether or not a site is “trusted” in Google any longer.   It is apparent that the “tools” within the community are not being updated at the same speed that the affiliate marketing/internet marketing world is evolving.
There is also a tool called “Social Snoop” that finds social sites that you can again, get backlinks to.  This is not good for SEO or an online business and has been deemed an irrelevant marketing technique since late 2012.   And you have an article spinning tool…that will absolutely KILL your business if you even think about using it.  There could be other applications where this could be useful.
This really bothers me and I really wish the folks over at Affilorama would update their training and their tools to reflect the current state of SEO and the online business world.  They are in many cases doing more harm than good to your business.
And now come the upsells…
There are also several other offerings or “upsells” that are promoted to you within Affilorama, something that I am not a big fan of.  My line of thinking is that if you are paying $67 per month, you should get access to the full system and all of the tools, but you be the judge.   The $67 price point is also much higher than more cost efficient services that are available to you as an aspiring affiliate marketer.

Upsell #1: AffiloBlueprint 3.0 Membership ($197, then $67 per month)
The package includes 13 lessons, 85 videos covering topics from affilaite marketing, niche marketing and research, free traffic methods like SEO, PPC via Google’s content network, and 6 WordPress themes that are geared more towards PPC than SEO.
This is then followed by an upsell (when you join) of the Affilorama Premium.  AffiloBlueprint does not actually come with any support, so if you want the additional support and help for this particular product, you will have to pay the additional $67 per month.

Upsell #2: AffiloJetpack Membership ($497)

The AffiloJetPack is a high ticket “niche marketing” package that Mark Ling has created to help you with the promotions of his products and services.  These packages do contain some good information and within the membership you are going to get access to the following:
Your Choice of 5 Niche Packages (out of the 10 available)

• 15 Newsletter Email Series, one per niche

• 3 e-books, 3 per niche (these are intended for free reports)

• Access to Affilotheme

• Graphics for each niche

• 20 PLR Articles

This is a great way for Mark to train you how to become his affiliate (and earn him more money).  In my opinion this should be a service that is included in his membership since he does have a motive and his is going to benefit from your hard work.  Nothing wrong with offering this sort of set-up, but something that probably should be included in particular because of the high price point.   These packages do seem to be a bit dated in respect to their offerings and at $497, they are vastly overpriced.

At $497 you really do need to decide whether or not this is worthwhile to you as you could get access very thorough and useful alternatives  in the world for an entire year for a fraction of this price.

Upsell #3: Affilotheme ($97)
The last major upsell you will be approached with inside of Affilorama is the Affilotheme.  This is a Worpdress theme that comes with supporting training showing you how to properly use it.   It also comes with one year free hosting, beyond that you will be encouraged to join Affilorama Premium to maintain your hosting.  I really do love the fact that they have piggybacked the WordPress content management system because it is bar none, the best out there.

As you can see, Affilorama Premium is just the initial component of the offering inside of this system.  If you take them up on all of their offers, you will be looking at spending $791 + $67 per month for the Premium membership.    This is something that you need to consider prior to getting involved with the training.
This is a great product which offers a good deal of tools, training and support.  Although I may be a little critical of just a few different aspects of their system, Mark Ling and Affilorama are definitely one of the more legitimate groups within an industry that is known for “shysters”.  He is definitely one of the good guys of the industry
However, because of the sheer number of up sells and some what could potentially be deemed as “misinformation” or “outdated” within the training techniques, it can be confusing to the beginner where to get started. This is one program that should be approached with a careful and well thought out plan of action, and you should be starting with the very basics (Premium Membership) if you do decide to join and then adding on additional tools and products if you feel comfortable enough and have a suitable budget for it.

Affilorama, started by Mark Ling in 2005, is a community dedicated to affiliate training.  After years of success as an merchant owning products like “Jamorama” and “Rocket Piano”, Mark set out to create a platform that would help train his affiliates within these respective niches.

But first, let’s have a quick look at the positives and negatives of this program, then I will go into detail discussing the different aspects of the membership.

Affilorama’s training starts with the basic program which combines videos and other online tools to follow step by step. In addition there are a number of software apps that can be used as well (site ranking and analysis tools).The Affilorama Premium level offers additional training, interviews with various successful Internet Entrepreneurs, and the bootcamp videos. This level also includes content which has been created for your chosen niche.
Additional tools include the Affilorama Jetpack which is the customized website creation and hosting package and Affilorama Theme which is another version of that service.
These are discussed in much more detail below.

All levels of Affilorama have the support from the community of members, many of which are free members.  This can be a good thing and a bad Is Mark Ling Available Within Affiloramathing.  Often times someone will be there, but not all the time someone will be there to give you direct help.  The nature of a forum allows for “delayed” support and sometimes it can take several days for your query to get responded to, but sometimes this can also allow for more thorough help (versus telephone or live chat style support)

The problem here is that backlinks can get you in A LOT of trouble these days with Google and although this strategy may have worked in 2012, it has long since lead to people losing their entire business and rankings online.   This outdated misinformation will lead you to failure if you follow it and that is never something I like to see.   With every  Google Panda or Penguin update, more and more websites that put ANY emphasis on backlinking strategies are being removed from the search results.  NOT A GOOD THING.

I don’t usually promote products or training program on this website.  There are too many scam programs or products so you’ll have to be careful in choosing the tools, products or training that you want to join.  On this website, I only promot a few.  One program I highly recommend is wealthy affiliate and Imjetset by John Crestani. But my top choice is still wealthy affiliate because of WA has a great community and platform.

Like many other programs out there. Wealthy affiliate doesn’t cover everything but compared to most program I’ve seen, it’s still the best if you’re looking to enhance your online marketing skills.  If you have a budget to buy more training materials, I suggest you also may want to try imjetset as a supplementary training tool.
